If you haven’t heard, COVID and, therefore, masking is back. But one state surgeon general is making sure you know that you don’t have to comply.
Enter Florida’s Joseph Lapado.
He was appointed as The Sunshine State’s top medical officer in September of 2021 and immediately made it known that he would no longer follow the “traditional” fear-mongering of the medical field.
And this week, he proved that even more by reminding the American people of our power over the government, the liberal elite, and the health industry.
In a post to his X account, he said, “What do you call re-imposing mask policies that have proven ineffective or restarting lockdowns that are known to cause harm? You don’t call it sanity.”
Then he added, “These terrible policies only work with your cooperation. How about refusing to participate.”

To be sure, it’s a question we should all be asking ourselves.
I mean, we all remember when COVID-19 first arrived in America, and people everywhere pretty much freaked out. Mask mandates were initiated. Whole city and state lockdowns were put in place. And wholly untested vaccines were pretty much ordered.
While some of that might have been instituted with good intentions, Lapado reminds us that none of it actually worked.
Study after study proves that masking (of any type) doesn’t really matter. Neither does staying away from all your friends, family, co-workers, etc. And as we all know, the vaccines pushed down our throats are now thought to have done more harm than good for some.
So why would we willingly accept those same controlling and pointless policies again?
The fact is we shouldn’t.
Yes, according to recent Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) data, COVID-19 is on the rise again. However, it’s also important to note that the CDC has also just recently approved another vaccine and, subsequently, its push.
The conspiracy theorist in me says those two are connected… They want you to get the new vaccine, so of course, they are saying COVID is rising again, and masking needs to come back.
But as Lapado says, we don’t have to participate!
