If you haven’t noticed, Disney, Marvel, and Warner Bros don’t seem to have a lot whole going for them these days. That’s not to say they don’t have new films and shows always coming out. It just means very few of those are actually connecting with the audience.
Perhaps if they stopped adding LGBTQ+ agenda items and super progressive actors, they’d have more luck.
The latest example comes to us from Warner Bros., who just released “The Flash.” The long-awaited DC Comics superhero film was supposed to be an instant box office hit.
But for many reasons, it has fallen to mediocrity since its debut on June 16.
According to AV Club, it will be lucky at this point to take third place in its second week.
First of all, there were all sorts of reasons for the filming process. Promised cameos weren’t delivered. More than a few directors and writers were fired and hired. And, of course, Hollywood is still attempting to operate as if COVID is still a major threat.
But then, there is the problem of the film’s primary star, Ezra Miller.
If you haven’t heard of him, don’t worry, you’re not the only one.
While he’s been acting since 2001, he’s never really been able to make it to the big leagues. Primarily, this is because he’s so woke and troublesome that few want to put up with him. In fact, he was nearly fired from “The Flash” during the early stages of filming.
For starters, Miller accepts everyone to address him as “they/them.” And reports show he’ll get quite testy with you if you don’t. Just ask a few officers who arrested him for an assault at a bar. When they addressed him as “sir,” vest cam footage shows him getting even more ugly.
Of course, that wasn’t his only arrest. He’s also been arrested in Iceland following his unprovoked attack on a woman, in which he choked her and then threw her to the ground. He apparently thought he could “take her in a fight” and proceeded to prove it.
He’s also been accused of sexually assaulting an 18-year-old girl, and a pre-teen boy was forced to file a restraining order against Miller because he wouldn’t leave him alone.
So yeah, I’d say people have plenty of reasons not to support his career…
