O’Reilly Calls DeSantis’ Campaign Over

Former Fox News host and conservative media icon Bill O’Reilly knows a thing or two about being the loser. His long-standing record as an on-air personality for Fox News allowed him to meet some of the worst political losers of our generation. He can sniff out a failed campaign like a bloodhound. With Ron DeSantis coming in a distant second during the Iowa caucus, O’Reilly wasted no time in calling the FL Governor on the carpet.

“There was never any doubt in my mind that Trump would win the MAGA people in Iowa. I mean, his place and you add to that the fact that Ron DeSantis who had a shot, probably the worst campaigner since Herbert Hoover…He’s a terrible campaigner. Just awful. He’s stiff, he doesn’t look like he cares about the folks, he can’t get his message across without repeating himself 15 times. He’s boring. And in this day and age, you can’t be boring, and he is. So he’s through.”

Boring is just one way to describe DeSantis. His closest opponent is former SC Governor Nikki Haley. While a far-out candidate at this point, O’Reilly called her out too. “You can challenge a monster like Donald Trump with a personality like Ron DeSantis, can’t be done. Nikki Haley, she’s going out entirely different way, putting together a ‘coalition of the willing’ to quote Bush, the younger. The willing are the people don’t want Trump in the Republican Party and there are 30% of them.”

Calling either of their campaigns “over” isn’t predicting the future or even being hopeful. It’s simply leveling the truth of the situation with his listeners. Both Haley and DeSantis have been torpedoing their campaigns. Haley has failed by downplaying the importance of abortion bans as well as ignoring slavery as a part of the Civil War. DeSantis is dripping with ignorance about cannabis, and his socially awkward moments combined with his fake “big boy shoes” make him little more than a clown.

At this point, we all need to band together and support Trump. He’s our last chance.
