A clerk working for Flint Township, MI received a flimsy non-sentence for engaging in 2020 election fraud. Democrat Kathy Funk pleaded no contest to tampering with election ballots. Instead of justice being served in the case, however, the judge decided to handle the case with maximum contempt for the voters. He gave Funk a slap on the wrist, in yet another example of our two-tiered justice system that favors the Democrat Party.

Funk was a candidate in the Democrat primary for Flint Township Clerk in 2020. She won the primary by just 79 votes out of 5,300, which should have triggered an automatic recount. Funk then sabotaged a ballot box that was in her care as a clerk and told police that someone must have broken in and done it. Under Michigan law, ballots in a ballot box that has been tampered with cannot be included in a recount.

So, Funk “won” the primary without a recount and then went on to win the general election. This case, by the way, illustrates the folly of allowing someone like former Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs to oversee her own election for governor against Kari Lake. Democrats will always cheat to favor themselves in an election. They shouldn’t be allowed to administer one, because they have proven time and time again that they cannot be trusted.

During her sentencing hearing, the judge told Funk, “Someone who is 59 years old, who’s never been in trouble before, and didn’t commit any violent acts, doesn’t need to be going to jail in this community.”

Yes, she does! The judge then sentenced Funk to six months of house arrest, two years of probation, and a $1,000 fine. Plus, she has to write an apology letter. We are never going to clean up our elections in America if there are no real penalties whenever a Democrat commits election fraud.
